Job Summary:
My client, a fast growing speciality pharmaceutical company with operations across the globe is looking for a Late Phase Product Development Team Leader to join their head office in Scotland. Their ambition is evident with recent successes including their impressive European growth rate of 21% and advances in the U.S with new product approvals.
The ideal candidate for this position will be:
• A graduate in a scientific subject.
• Experienced within the pharmaceutical industry
• Experienced in a Project Management role
• Desirable to have experience in managing cross-functional global project teams
• Experience in biologic development would be an advantage although not essential.
Reporting to the Head of Project Management your key responsibilities will include:
• To lead, direct and motivate global cross-functional project teams to define and achieve the project goals. Team members include representatives from development, commercial, technical supply, business development and legal where appropriate.
• To coordinate establishment of the global development and/or life-cycle strategy in line with the company business plan to optimize product value.
• Ensure core project documentation is maintained and to prepare the budget and monitor actual spend vs. budget.
• To ensure that project progresses in accordance with the agreed global strategy, timelines and budget.
• Identify and review project issues and manage conflict resolution.
• To contribute expertise to company to assist in the formation and execution of the company business strategy, licensing activities and portfolio management.
• Ensure effective communication processes to ensure accurate, timely and appropriate project-related information is presented internally and externally as required.
• Provide regular updates on project development activities, milestones and budget to senior management.
