ICON invites applications for two Associate Managers Project Information & Feasibility ideally to be based in our office in Germany or the UK.
1. PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
· To manage the process of clinical project feasibility studies, setting-up feasibility teams and generating feasibility reports
· To assist Business Development with the generation of cost proposals providing input and advice regarding operational topics
2. JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Project feasibility assessment and realization planning
a. If required ensure feasibility of proposed projects by checking i) previous studies performed in similar indication and setting, ii) previous feasibility studies and iii) consulting with internal and external experts or potential investigators.
b. Initiate, conduct, coordinate and report feasibility studies with support from operation departments as needed:
· Assemble feasibility team, where appropriate
· Conduct feasibility analysis and report generation
· Review feasibility reports
c. Document and track feasibility study results for future use.
d. Based on prior experience and/or feasibility provide input to cost proposals based on realistic assumptions.
e. Provide Resource Management and Business Development with feasibility results (countries, number of sites, subject recruitment projection) to allow timely and adequate staffing proposal.
f. Assist with training of operations staff in the principles and conduct of feasibility studies.
2. Preparation for and attendance to bid defence meetings.
a. Support Business Development with the generation of presentation material for bid defence meetings.
b. Participate in bid defence meetings as required.
3. Investigator Database ICOsite
a. Conduct data base searches as requested by Project Managers and feasibility teams
4. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Background preferably in medicine, science or other relevant discipline with (~3 years) relevant international experience in clinical development.
· Highly developed planning and organisational skills. Must be able to resolve conflicting priorities to meet tight deadlines.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills
· Ability to liaise effectively across departments, with senior management, clinical project teams, clients and experts inside and outside ICON.
· Competent computer skills including extensive knowledge of literature and internet search.
· Highly developed analytical skills and attention to detail
