Our client is dedicated to the discovery and development of innovative new drugs for HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases of high unmet medical need.

• Accurate, conscientious and thorough.
• At least 6 (as a PhD) or 8 years (as MSc) of experience in Clinical Drug Development within the Pharmaceutical Industry with proven track record.
Knowledge:
• Medical domain (HIV infection and AIDS / HCV);
• Excellent knowledge in fundamental probability, statistical interference, applied statistics and the design of clinical trials;
• In depth understanding of current clinical drug development processes;
• Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written;
• Knowledge of applicable international guidelines regarding statistical analysis of clinical trials (ICH, FDA, CHMP, ...) and general drug development guidelines (GCP,...);
• Knowledge of current with statistical scientific developments in HIV area and in general (Virology);
• Translation of medical problems into statistical concepts, translation of statistical results into medical views;
• Computer Knowledge:
• Knowledge of SAS base and SAS/stat and other statistical software (Splus, East, StatXact,...).
• Knowledge of technology platforms for data exchange.
• Basic knowledge of office software.
Qualifications:
• University degree in a scientific area (mathematics, biology, information management, bioengineer, etc.)
• Master (MSc) or PhD in Biostatistical sciences
