Located in Darmstadt, Germany
Provides support and maintenance related to technical infrastructure (network and servers) for Premier Research Group plc. These activities are performed in compliance to all Premier Research Group policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
1. Participates in design, development/implementation of technical infrastructure (network and servers) according to Premier Research Group standard and procedures
2. Monitors, manages, and supports the technical infrastructure
3. Suggests potential improvements to the technical infrastructure relative to security, business continuity, service delivery, etc.
4. Participates in asset requisition, acquisition, receipt, and management
5. All other projects and tasks as assigned

Experience:
1. Minimum of three years of experience in a LAN/WAN environment (Microsoft) supporting servers and/or network or two years experience within Premier Research Group IT
2. At least one of the following certifications required: MCP, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP (combination preferred)
3. Demonstrated knowledge of the following is required: TCP/IP, MS Windows 2000, MS Windows 2003, Active Directory, Group Policies, Group Policy Visual Basic Scripting, and Windows Clustering
4. Experience in many of the following Software Systems is required: Exchange, ISA, Sharepoint, Citrix, BES, SQL Server, VMWare, Active Sync, Ghost, Backup Exec, Symantec Antivirus
5. Experience in these areas preferred: Cisco routers and switching products, IP Port Standards, CIDR, EIGRP, OSPF, MUX EQ, VOFR/VOIP, Visio, Visual Networks, Cisco Firewall/VPN, GRE, PPTP, IKE troubleshooting, SNMP/RMON and Internet-based applications, Multicast, UNIX, Network Management Systems, circuit provisioning, and Dell/HP hardware,
6. Clinical drug development or other highly regulated industry background preferred
7. Must have worked in a global operations environment
8. Fluent in English both orally and in writing.
Education (degree) or Certifications:
1. Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science or related field
