Requirements
This is the most senior level clinical research associate position and is considered an expert in all aspects of clinical monitoring. As such, the incumbent is assigned to the most challenging projects/work assignments and is used as a resource to resolve difficult/challenging project issues. The CRA Specialist will perform the duties of a Senior CRA, as appropriate, but may occasionally not be required to maintain individual site assignments. In addition, the CRA Specialist will mentor, train and assess junior team members and will identify and help address any weaknesses in individual and/or team performance.
Serves as the primary contact with individual investigative sites that conduct clinical trials. Recommends processes to project management that optimizes use of project resources. Provides mentoring/evaluating to less experienced members of the project team and advises on resourcing, training and quality issues. These measures contribute directly to operational objectives, which in turn have an impact on project revenue.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
.Bachelor's or higher graduate degree in a science-related field, licensed or certified health care training or equivalent experience
.Valid drivers license
.A minimum of 5 years experience as a Clinical Research Associate with a high level of competency in all aspects of clinical monitoring
.Or equivalent combination of education and prior directly related experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
.Excellent clinical trial monitoring skills
.Effective oral and written communication skills
.Excellent interpersonal skills
.Effective organizational and time management skills
.Ability to mentor/train and motivate team members in a positive and effective manner
.Strong attention to detail
.Basic computer skills and the ability to learn appropriate software
.Proficient knowledge of medical/therapeutic areas and medical terminology
.Excellent team player with teambuilding skills
.Ability to travel 60 to 80%
.Excellent knowledge of all corporate SOPs, WPDs and ICH and FDA guidelines
.Ability to effectively perform functions of Senior CRA
.Ability to do effective presentations
