Proposal Associate
Background
Due to expansion our client is looking for a Proposals Associate to be based in the South of England. The successful candidate should be an ambitious individual.Who will be in place as the Proposal Associate to support Business Development.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Proposal Associate will be based in the Proposals department.
• Prepare proposals, proposal revisions, and change order requests based on information provided by Business Development and Project Management staff.• Evaluate incoming RFPIFs and Change Order requests to determine what is required and identify what, if any, issues require clarification to better define the scope of activities required for a project opportunity.• Create project budgets that accurately reflect the Scope of Work described within a proposal or change order request.• Manage and lead meetings with internal staff, including, as required, to define the scope of effort and associated costs for proposals, revision to proposals, and out of scope requests in development.• Perform routine trafficking to manage the internal review of proposals and change order requests.• Create, maintain, and update accurate and organised files (paper and electronic) for proposal and change order opportunities.• Triage, as needed, opportunities that originate outside the division, and manage all communication and expectations between divisions.• Maintain database for all proposals and revisions submitted.• Proactively manage a workload that includes responsibility for multiple proposal assignments, change order requests, and other departmental tasks.• Create new proposal and budget templates as the need arises.• Become an expert in a particular operational area and maintain algorithms for costing, as requested.• Update and maintain existing proposal and budget templates as requested.• Participate in client teleconferences and meetings to clarify Scopes of Work and Budgets.• Represent the Proposals Group when introducing newly awarded projects to other functional groups within the company.• Participate in Business Development or triage meetings as requested by the Associate Director of Proposal Services.• Duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications, Experience and KnowledgeThe Proposal Associate position requires proficiency in several software packages:
