Drug Safety Executive
Outline of Company/ Role
A small sized Generics company with product licences throughout Europe is looking to recruit a full-time Drug Safety Executive to manage all aspects of post-marketing pharmacovigilance. The company has a manufacturing partner based overseas and the Drug Safety Executive will need to build a good relationship with them and work closely together.
The role is varied and exciting as working for a small company means you will become exposed to all aspects of pharmacovigilance and work alongside other departments, for example, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs.
Over time the company will grow and the role will expand and change. In the future, implementation of a database may be necessary and managing this would be an exciting challenge for a candidate wishing to gain plenty of experience by driving the development of the pharmacovigilance function.

• Qualification of life sciences degree or a nursing/ pharmacy background
• 2 or more years experience in pharmacovigilance
• Knowledge/ experience of European pharmacovigilance requirements and legislation preferable
• PSUR experience ideal but not essential as training can be arranged
• Some experience in performing presentations or providing training is desirable as the successful candidate will be required to provide pharmacovigilance training to company personnel
• An understanding of Eudravigilance would be useful
• Experience with writing SOPs
• Travel rarely required although overseas may be necessary at some point
• Good working knowledge of IT systems
• Personal attributes should include being enthusiastic, organised, proactive and hard working. Must have initiative and be prepared to be flexible.
• Ability to work on own and as part of a small team
