Our client, a global pharmaceutical company based in London has a very exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Project Manager! Engaged in the clinical development of new drugs for the European markets with potential medical therapies under investigation.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
• To act as project group leader, managing the activities of clinical team members.
• To liaise with and respond to as necessary to MPC/MPA on any issues arising European Clinical Research Programme and specific global issues on the European phase of programmes, involving the GM as necessary.
• To be the primary contact with experts and KOLs involved in the research programmes in Europe.
• To be responsible for CRO evaluation and propose selection to GM.
• To oversee and where appropriate manage the activities of CROs performing studies for MPE.
• To ensure all clinical studies accord with European GCP, GLP, GMP as appropriate.
• To ensure all drug safety systems are in place and are followed by Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.
• To ensure a working knowledge and compliance with relevant MPE SOPs.
• To ensure that study files are maintained by Project Managers and Assistant Managers.
• To ensure that required regulatory authorisations are in place for all studies within the SPM portfolio.
• To keep up to date with all significant new clinical research findings and regulatory guidelines in the relevant therapeutic areas.
• To liaise effectively and maintain professional working relationships with MPE/MPA/MPC colleagues in all departments.
• To prepare and/or maintain CDPs for their allocated compounds.
• To manage their staff and conduct performance appraisals in a professional manner.
• To be responsible for the training and development of the staff under their control.
• At the request of Manager to prepare budget planning for the next financial period as requested by the GM of clinical department and to control expenditure against the agreed project budget.
Qualifications and Experience
MD; PHD; MSc; BSc OR equivalent in Life Sciences or Clinical Research.
