Job Background
The RS (Resourcing Solutions) department of Chiltern International acts in a similar way to that of a staffing solutions provider. The department is currently seeking a Surveillance Associate / Scientist to work for our client, a major Pharmaceutical company at their offices in Windlesham in Surrey (near Ascot).
Job Primary Functions
Purpose - The Surveillance Associate/Scientist is responsible for the proactive safety surveillance of Company products, preparation of periodic and ad-hoc safety inquiries, searches of the safety database to provide internal and external customers with answers to safety related questions, and to promote and advance the field of Global Patient Safety.
•Pro-active monitoring of global safety data through activities such as signal detection and evaluation.
•Preparation of periodic reports both post marketing and clinical including PSURs, EU ASRs and ERB line listings.
•Responding to safety inquiries from global regulatory agencies.
•Involvement in the preparation of Risk Management Plans.
•Working with cross functional teams
Job Qualifications
In order for you to be successful within this role you will require:
•Education: Bachelors degree (or higher) in a health care-related field (i.e. Pharmacy, Nursing) or equivalent life sciences qualification plus relevant work experience
•Working knowledge of various disease states, human physiology and pharmacology
•Effective communication and project management skills as well as adhering to compliance requirements. Analytical/Quantitative Skills and experience with databases and Microsoft applications.
• Surveillance and PSURs experience
