Our client, a specialist pharmaceutical company, is looking for a Project Director to plan, manage and report on clinical project(s) conducted on behalf of the company. You will be responsible for effective communication within the corporation and with external organizations of the issues and actions related to the successful completion of the project(s).
The Project Director will take overall responsibility for individual clinical project(s), managing the internal and external project teams, working closely with other company colleagues under the guidance of the Clinical Director, to ensure the quality and integrity of data and safe and proper management of project(s) with the clinical development plan.
Working closely with other clinical development colleagues and CRO’s/contractors, key responsibilities will include:
• Managing / assisting the internal project team consisting of Clinical Project Scientist (Clinical Science and Planning division), Clinical Study Manager (Project Operation division) and/or CRA within the company.
• Managing the external services providers.
• Coordinating the planning and operational aspects for project(s).
• Development, tracking and management of the budget allocated to the project.
• Ensuring adherence to the time lines and deliverables of the project.
• Reviewing and approving study documentation etc as appropriate.
• Providing leadership and support to the internal and external project team.
• Providing appropriate management and development of direct reports.
• Analyzing potential issues and risks that affect the projects, particularly those that affect operational area.
• Reviewing and developing solutions, action plans, contingency plans for the projects as appropriate.
• Reviewing the timelines and resources (internal and external) for the project(s) necessary for project implementation
• Developing and maintaining contacts with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) and investigators
• contributing to the review, interpretation and management of study data
• contributing to the review, interpretation and management of pre-clinical data
• co-developing the protocol / clinical development plan with Clinical Science and Planning division colleague.
• contributing to development and maintenance of policies, SOPs and documents
• contributing to the continuous improvement of the company's Clinical Development
• ensuring learning & knowledge transfer during and at the completion of the projects
All activities to be carried out in accordance with appropriate ICH/GCP.
