Job Summary
As an innovative, world leading drug development and regulatory services organisation, our client is working alongside Flame Pharma to recruit the Head of Pharmacovigilance for their offices in Berkshire.
The Head of Pharmacovigilance will lead the Pharmacovigilance team to ensure provision of appropriate drug safety advice to clients and colleagues, whilst ensuring timely delivery projects in accordance with client requirements. You will also fulfill the role of EU QP for Pharmacovigilance for the Company and clients as required. The Head of Pharmacovigilance will manage increasingly complex aspects of the drug safety business, that guides and supports successful strategies of the companies overall goals

Background
The Head of Pharmacovigilance will lead the Pharmacovigilance team to ensure provision of appropriate drug safety advice to clients and colleagues whilst ensuring timely delivery projects in accordance with client requirements. You will also fulfill the role of EU QP for Pharmacovigilance for the Company and clients as required. The Head of Pharmacovigilance will manage increasingly complex aspects of the drug safety business, that guides and supports successful strategies of the companies overall goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Assume responsibility for ongoing delivery of pharmacovigilance projects to client deadlines and requirements• Implementation and management of the Department budget• Maintain an effective pharmacovigilance team• Ensure implementation of Quality Management System including Standard Operating Procedures• Assume overall responsibility for Business Development• Develop awareness and understanding of existing and forthcoming legislation
Qualifications and Experience
• Educated to Bachelor Science degree level or experienced and suitably qualified in a Healthcare profession• Excellent knowledge of EU pharmacovigilance regulatory requirements. Extensive proven experience within pharmacovigilance/drug safety • Appreciation and understanding of ex EU regulatory environment and the differences in EU• Excellent management and leadership skills with a team player approach• Excellent verbal communication skills and good diplomacy• Ability to train at different levels of experience and confidently deliver training courses internally and externally• Excellent organisation skills
