Description:
BACKGROUND
Chiltern is Europe’s largest privately owned Clinical Research Organisation, with over 1300 employees and 21 offices throughout Europe, both Eastern and Western, North America and in Asia. We have worked in virtually every therapeutic area for all the major pharmaceutical companies and very many of the smaller ones.
The Chiltern Clinical Research Unit (CCRU) is a dedicated unit that can provide full clinical services for volunteer, in-patient, and outpatient studies.
The CCRU carries out early proof-of-concept and Phase IIa studies. The CCRU also often takes on the more challenging Phase IIb, and phase III studies as well.
PRIMARY DUTIES
The Clinical Project Assistant (CPA) will assist in a study according to an allocated role. The role given to a CPA shall reflect his/her experience and the level of contribution which he/she can make to that project.
The CPA must comply with the requirements of ICH GCP and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- To attend project meetings / initiation meetings / study specific training as appropriate.
- To perform clinical duties as per duty rota.
- To liaise with the study team as appropriate.
- To be aware of study scheduling.
- To adhere to all study protocols and to ensure that all clinical work is carried out according to ICH GCP, to sponsor requirements and to specified timelines.
- To be responsible for correct application of instructions at ‘Hand Over’ time between shifts.
- To be responsible for the quality of personal work including completeness / correctness of data and safety of subjects.
- To answer data queries, if appropriate.
- To alert the Project Manager of the study team of things that need actioning.
- To liaise with all other appropriate departments within Chiltern International to ensure the smooth running of the study.
