This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with SAS Programming experience from the pharmaceutical industry, to join a leading global CRO that provides a comprehensive range of services in Phase I-IV clinical trials to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and device industries. They require Clinical SAS Programmers at their offices in Buckinghamshire and Dublin.
JOB ROLE: The Clinical SAS Programmer II will plan, develop and execute statistical programmes designed to analyse clinical trial data and assist experienced staff in the planning, development and validation of project level programmes and macros.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include:
�The planning, development and execution of study level validated programmes for analysis data sets, tables, figures and data listings for a clinical trial.
�Assisting in the planning, development, validation of project level programmes and departmental macros.
�The maintenance of documentation and files according to departmental policy.
�Liaising with Data Management staff on study related activities.
�Maintaining professional currency through literature reviews, membership of professional bodies and attendance at scientific meetings and appropriate courses.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Either a:
�Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or scientific discipline together with significant SAS Programming experience.
�Or, relevant Masters degree and some SAS Programming experience.
�Or, Relevant PhD in a quantitative or scientific discipline such as Computer Science.
�Base SAS Certification.
�Experience from within the pharmaceutical / CRO industries preferable.
�The ability to produce report quality tables, graphs and data listing under minimum supervision.
�Understanding of data structures and an understanding of the development and use of standard programmes.

�The ability to work independently as well as on a team.
�Good problem solving skills.
�Attention to detail.
�Verbal and written communications skills.
