TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
At least 2 years experience in management of multinational/global projects.
Education: MD or PhD, bachelors or advanced degree in Life Sciences or Research Nurse degree.
Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practices.
Must be familiar with the MS Office Tools (software).
Must be familiar with Project Management Tools.
TRAVEL & LOCATION
Travel for business development purposes (bid defense meetings) or sponsor meeting and meeting with external clients etc. regionally or internationally is expected but may not exceed 30% of full time employment.
Responsibilities: The Project Director's (PD) main responsibilities are to manage national and global projects and/or programs (i.e. including International + Americas) within deadlines and budget and to establish strategies to fulfill project requirements.
The PD is the main sponsor contact within Omnicare Clinical Research (OCR) for all operational aspects of the project and must take the lead in the coordination of all departments involved in the project.
1. Responsibility for Project Management:
Obtain contract, LOI etc. from Business Development and liaise with them regarding hand-over of the project & collaborate with the concerned Account Director for the contract finalization.
Liaise with relevant offices/departments to set-up project team & to coordinate the study progress.
Oversee production & maintenance of Project Plans (Communication Plan, Monitoring Plan, Investigator Document Plan, Safety Plan, Data Management Plan, Statistical Analysis Plan, Quality Plan), monitoring guidelines & study manuals to help guarantee consistency of work across the project.
Ensure availability of current project information for sponsors & project teams.
Develop operational strategies that improve efficiency.
2. Responsibility for Financial Management of the Project:
Manage all aspects of the study within budget and resolve proactively potential risks of budget increase before it becomes real.
Facilitate Sponsor negotiations regarding contract changes, including change orders, change to timelines etc. involving BD and other relevant departments.
Maintenance of financial systems.
Initiate/ control Investigator's grant payment, if applicable.
