This role is ideal for an experienced Biostatistician giving him/her the opportunity to work for a multi-national CRO whose services expand to over 40 countries and has one of the largest global footprints of any other in the industry. Their extensive local and regional knowledge enables them to manage, conduct and design clinical trials across all phases from pre-clinical to Phase IV. This role is based at the company's UK office in Berkshire.
JOB ROLE: The Biostatistician will be responsible for the collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of quantitative data for clinical trials.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include:
•Analysing clinical data from various clinical studies.
•Validating SAS programmes for various clinical studies.
•Developing Statistical Analysis Plans for assigned clinical studies.
•Reviewing assigned clinical protocols to provide statistical methodology section.
•Generating randomisation of assigned projects.
•Researching in support of Statistical Analysis Plans.
•May assist in the writing of statistical reports.
•Guiding the activities of SAS programmers.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
•Masters degree and substantial relevant statistical experience from within the pharmaceutical / clinical research industry preferred.
•Excellent SAS programming knowledge.
•Excellent SAS statistical analysis skills.
•Excellent understanding of GCP, CRF and ICH Guidelines.
•Excellent understanding of assigned protocols.
•Excellent understanding of company SOPs.
•Proficiency with computer, MS Word, Excel and the Internet is essential.
PERSONAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Excellent organisational skills.
•Must be able to establish priorities and multi-task.
•Excellent business skills for interactive situations with peers, sites and clients.
