This highly reputable international organisation is committed to developing, manufacturing and marketing high quality pharmaceuticals for the global market. With a strong R&D portfolio and solid product pipeline they are now seeking a Clinical Research Safety Physician to join the clinical trial development team.
Reporting to the Head of Clinical Safety, you will contribute to the overall clinical safety risk management and surveillance of the organisation's Research and Development programs and your key responsibilities will include:
* All aspects of safety monitoring, including assessing safety information from clinical trials and analysing and presenting safety data in regulatory documents.
* Assisting in the development of global development safety risk management plans and pharmacovigilance strategies/specifications.
* Act as the lead research physician in the design, identification of appropriate endpoints, medical management and data analysis of studies.
* Supporting the company to manage serious adverse events (SAEs) through the medical evaluation of clinical trial AE reports.
* Reviewing statistical analysis plans and proposed tables and listings for clinical study reports.
* Providing expert advice to external customers and
Regulatory agencies on the safety profile of the company's investigational products.
The successful applicant will be medically qualified with prior pharmaceutical and Risk/Benefits analysis experience. You will possess a knowledge of drug safety or clinical development and pharmcovigilance practices coupled with the ability to evaluate, interpret and synthesise scientific data.
You will demonstrate excellent leadership skills, attention to detail and you will be a team player with the ability to be supportive in a multi-disciplinary environment.
