This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Statistical Programmer to work for a leading global CRO that has a record of phenomenal success in the market place with the result that they have helped to develop or commercialise every single one of the world's top 30 selling drugs. The Senior Statistical Programmer will need substantial experience from the pharma industry. The role is based at the company's office in Berkshire or home based candidates will also be considered.
JOB ROLE: The Senior Statistical Programmer provides experienced technical expertise as part of the Statistical Programming (SP) team to develop process methodology to meet internal and external clients' needs. This includes:
�Planning and coordinating the development of integrated programming solutions serving the full spectrum of statistical analysis needs.
�Providing technical expertise and leadership to the Statistical Programming department.
�Providing internal consulting services, including specifications and user needs analysis for complex project or client requirements.
�Fulfilling project responsibilities at the level of lead for single complex studies or group of studies.
�Managing project budget and resource requirements.
�Providing training and guidance to lower level staff.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
�Masters or Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field and substantial relevant experience from the clinical research industry.
�Knowledge of statistics and/or clinical drug development process.
�Knowledge of electronic submissions (including: knowledge of data submission structures and requirements; experience in creating relevant hyperlinks, etc).
�Advanced knowledge of statistical computing applications such as Base SAS, SAS/STAT and SAS Macro Language.

�Multi-tasking skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail
