This exceptional opportunity is ideal for a MD or PhD candidate with clinical research experience and expertise in Respiratory. Our client, a global giant in the pharmaceutical world and known as a leading name in the discovery, development and marketing of innovative pharmaceutical products, requires a Medical Advisor for Respiratory TA at their OK office in the south of England.
JOB ROLE: The Medical Advisor is responsible for providing medical/scientific input and expertise to individual clinical trial(s) within a global development programme of a disease area.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include:
•For the assigned clinical trial(s) within programme/brand, as a member of the Clinical Trial Team (CTT), providing medical scientific input to:
oAll activities related to planning, execution and reporting of clinical trials.
oDevelopment of trial related documents (e.g., protocols, case report forms, data analysis plan, reports, publications).
oDevelopment of presentation material for trial-related advisory boards, investigators meetings, protocol training meetings for the company's local medical organisations.
oOngoing review of clinical trial data, final analysis and interpretation, in collaboration with the Brand Safety Leader and appropriate CTT members.
•Serving as disease area scientific and medical expert for internal and external customers.
•Providing support for medical marketing activities.
•Contributing to the development of clinical sections of regulatory documents such as Investigators' Brochures, briefing books, safety updates, IND/NDA submission documents, responses to HA questions.
•Contributing to talent and career development of TA staff.
•May serve as faculty member for CD&MA training programs.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
•MD or PhD with unique knowledge for successful clinical programme development and execution required.
•Advanced medical/scientific writing and communication skills.
•Proven ability to interpret, discuss and represent efficacy and safety data relating to the assigned area.
•Proven ability to work both independently or in a cross functional team setting, including a matrix environment.
•Clinical research experience preferred.
•Medical and/or scientific expertise within Respiratory.
•Fluent English (oral and written)
