Reporting to the R&D Director, your key responsibility is to lead and manage the formulation and novel product development group to deliver high quality products including innovative formulations to improve product performance and ensure first to market status.
With energy and skill, you will:
•Develop quality products on time and to specification
•Evaluate potential new projects and subsequently scope for development
•Assist in identifying and assessing APIs of appropriate quality
•Produce a formulation and method of manufacture including selecting the right container closure.
•Produce novel and value added formulations and processes and support patenting the new inventions
You will have a relevant Chemistry, Pharmacy or related degree (or higher), coupled with significant management/supervisory experience within the R&D area of the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry and a demonstrated knowledge of the drug development processes. An excellent understanding of GMP/GLP is essential and previous product patenting experience is preferred.
