Contract and Proposal Executive – UK (Glasgow office-based preferred but will consider home-based in other locations around the UK – Permanent Contract!
Clintec is actively recruiting a Contract and Proposal Executive to join our expanding global company in the UK.
This is a permanent contract working on a full time basis preferably from the HQ office in Glasgow but we will consider home-based working in other locations in the UK. The Contract and Proposals Executive will play a key role in securing future projects, working closely with our global Business Development Team, Senior Clinical Operations’ Team and Senior Management to ensure the effective preparation of project costing, proposal/contract documents and information packages. The Contracts & Proposals Executive will manage multiple global projects as a part of an expanding team.
Responsibilities of the Contract and Proposals Executive:
Receive and analyse requests for proposals (RFPs) from Business Development (BD) and ensure distribution to the operational groups in a timely manner
Interact with operations personnel to obtain input for proposals, contracts and changes in scope and discuss assumptions to generate cost estimates and make recommendations for fee adjustments, as appropriate
Prepare information packages (RFI) and client presentations
Prepare contracts, confidentiality agreements, master service agreements and other legal agreements
Liaise with relevant departments to gain relevant information for each proposal and contract
Evaluate client documents and ensure that accurate contracts and proposals are provided
Manage deliverable timelines
Obtain third party quotes as required
Participation in client calls and bid defence meetings as and when required
Ensure that all proposal and contract principles applied are in line with company policy, guidelines, standard operating practice and applicable local regulations
Evaluate client documents and prepare accurate cost estimates
Create Payment Schedules
Completion of internal forms and database updates
Maintain a detailed tracker of submitted proposals.
Contribute towards continual costing and proposal process improvement
Assist the team with ad hoc related tasks as requested
Travel as required
Previous experience in a similar role within a CRO, Pharmaceutical or Biotech company
Strong organisational, analytical and numerical skills
Excellent written skills and attention to detail
Highly proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment and on own initiative
Eligible to live and work in the UK
Willingness and ability to be office-based in Glasgow, or to work home based in another location in the UK with travel to the HQ office on a monthly/bi-monthly basis
