Clintec - Medical Advisor - Switzerland (Lucerne)

Clintec (Global CRO) is actively recruiting for a Medical Advisor to join our expanding global company in Switzerland. This is a full time and office based position in Lucerne covering maternity leave until Jun 2018 but may be extended. Responsibilities:

Implement and execute Country Medical Affairs Plan for assigned franchise(s) • Budget responsibility (Planning, Tracking and Spending) for respective therapeutic area or products as per guidance by Medical Affairs Director. Scientific Leadership
Visit on a regular base defined customers and convey information about the latest development in the assigned indication (e.g. most actual publications, etc.)
Provide support to marketing and sales for assigned products • Develop and maintain strong scientific network
Develop projects with SLs and other stakeholders to facilitate adoption of best medical practices for physicians, health care institutions and patients
Organize and lead local advisory boards and Expert Input Forums
Hold balanced and scientific presentations about the disease area, therapies and latest developments in context with assigned products and competitor
Collect customer needs from SLs and provide insights to cross functional team
Participate at national and international scientific meetings to apply newest knowledge and feed-back to relevant stakeholders
Engage in discussions with SLs on potential areas of interest for IISs. Collaborate with local clinical research operations suggesting potential investigators or sites for company sponsored trials
Support the development of protocols for real world evidence data generation activities
Reinforce the scientific and evidence-based medicine oriented image of the company
Consulting and support of brand, customer and key account managers with strategic inputs on disease management, focus on strategy alignment within franchise and competitors counter- strategies. Internal Support
Provide scientific input and set strategic direction for respective franchise related Medical Affairs activities, ensuring alignment with global strategy and adherence to all relevant regulations and SOPs.
Provide scientific input to market access related strategies and activities
Facilitate the inclusion of products in hospital formularies and in local therapeutic guidelines as appropriate
Support proactively and comply with PV requirements
Participate in medical and scientific representation of products with key decision makers
Lead pre-launch medical activities Medical Information Requests
Respond to medical inquiries from local customers not covered by the medical information group/ developed by global or regional
DPOC (designated point of contact) process management: Is accountable for DPOC to ensure receipt, classification, and appropriate routing of product inquiries for further processing so as to meet regulatory and business requirements. Medical Review
Review and approval of promotional materials to ensure compliance with local legal regulations, to customize local materials and to locally develop customer materials as per local Medical Review SOP and Process.

Essential Criteria:

MD, Pharmacist or life science degree with PhD Core Competencies
Strong scientific baseline knowledge in therapeutic areas of Oncology
Interest to the Company, understanding of clinical trials methods, implementation and interpretation of clinical data, sound scientific and clinical judgment, and an eagerness to continue to learn more in assigned therapeutic area
Outstanding communication skills and the ability to function within a team environment
Strong and confident presentation skills
Strong customer facing and listening skills
Ability to work in a matrix organization
Simultaneously handling multiple tasks and working under pressure
Corporate culture competencies of Leadership Behaviors, including Business Integrity and Ethics
Fluency in German/English and/or English/French
PC use expertise
Willingness to travel frequently (~40%)
