Clinical Research Nurse – UK (Leeds) – Part Time (20 Hours Per Week)

Clintec is actively recruiting a Clinical Research Nurse to join our large UK team based in Leeds. This is a permanent contract, working on a part-time basis for 20 hours per week. Role Description

The Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) will be responsible for supporting research across various clinical specialities. The CRN will be responsible for identifying patients eligible for research projects and to recruit patients into clinical trials or studies.

Responsibilities of the Clinical Research Nurse:

Performing all visits, observations, safety reporting, and interventions with the participants in accordance with procedures and schedule of the study protocol, company SOP's and policies
Completing all relevant clinical competency training assessments, and attend all relevant research study protocol training, and complete all mandatory training, according to the company and sponsor SOPs
Promoting studies
Carrying out patient pre-screening efficiently and effectively to optimize patient recruitment
Supporting patients as required
Promoting research centre strategies within the local community when required
Collecting, recording, verifying and entering study data into the source notes, CRF/eCRF, and all associated paperwork, with a high degree of accuracy
Ensuring that all data queries are acted upon in a timely and efficient manner
Promoting and nurtures a welcoming, professional and pleasant environment for staff and participants
Participating in multidisciplinary meetings
Initiating emergency medical action when required
Identifying opportunities to increase patient numbers, keeping aware of recruitment deadlines

Essential Criteria:

Bachelor Degree of Nursing (or equivalent)
Registered Nurse
Certified in ICH GCP
2+ years Nursing experience
Familiarity with Haematology Disorders
Experience of clinical research, including experience in the coordination and conduct of research studies
Proven experience of patient recruitment
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary environment
Good knowledge of legislation for conducting clinical research studies (GCP)
Fluency in English language
Eligibility to work in Leeds, UK
