An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading pharmaceutical company as a Outsourcing Manager.
As an Outsourcing Manager you will:
o Manage sourcing projects, lead the contracting process and support the Category Lead in ensuring savings targets are achieved
o Ensure timely delivery of the sourcing projects, lead bidding events and negotiations, look for continuous improvement of total costs, service and quality levels
o Monitor supplier performance metrics and establish consistent collaboration, communication and issue resolution
o Develop a solid understanding of stakeholder requirements while enforcing the procurement agenda, by maintaining and securing effective communication, alignment, regular reporting and engagement with the Category Lead and pRED stakeholders
o Ensure adherence to and deliver trainings to teams or functions on the Pharma Procurement Policy, Directives, Guidelines and local Procurement SOP's.

You have a Bachelor or Master's degree preferably in life sciences and 5 years of experience in sourcing, business development or supplier management experience on a regional or global scale, ideally in the pharmaceutical Research & Development (R&D) and/or CRO area.
You have good knowledge of the business, markets and regulations in the biopharmaceutical industry as well as a good understanding of drugs research and discovery in the biopharmaceutical environment.
You bring a high degree of customer focus for both internal and external customers, proven ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships, a proactive work style and mind-set and good financial acumen.
You also bring the following skills and competencies:
o Experience in driving negotiations with R&D vendors (CROs, universities, etc.).
o Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with the competence to engage and manage expectations of management; good influencing and negotiation skills; capability to overcome resistance to change
o Ability to challenge business stakeholder thinking on requirements as well as effectively collaborate in across multiple organizations and with stakeholders of various background and skill set
o Ability to operate and execute effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple
