This is a fantastic position for a developing scientist keen to transition to a hugely interesting scientific position whilst also relocating to beautiful Brisbane, Australia.
In-Vivo Pharmacology experience
Small Molecule Drug Discovery experience in industry
Lead a team to plan, execute and analyse in vitro and in vivo work packages in accordance with project plans for evaluating novel drug targets, screening activities from target-to-hit to lead optimization as well as mechanism of action studies and proof-of-concept studies
Directly supports multiple projects by defining and executing the preclinical translational research to inform pivotal decision points and to maximize asset value
Identify new therapeutic opportunities, and select the optimal biology strategy for new programs
Develop pharmacodynamic and patient stratification biomarkers to support the advancement of programs
Generate robust and complete data sets to make key Go/NoGo decisions on novel drug targets
Project leadership to actively drive the ongoing planning, experiments and data analysis, ensuring scientific excellence and industrial rigor to the projects
Work diligently and efficiently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Think strategically about drug development and drive innovative solutions to key translational challenges across the company, contribute scientific and technical expertise to multiple project teams
Foster an environment for employee growth and development; mentor and coach Scientists and Research Associates technical capability whilst ensuring that they comply with agreed protocols to an industry standard
Manage external contract research organizations in support of this effort
